珍珠 Pearls

盼望不至于羞耻。因为所赐给我们的圣灵﹐将神的爱浇灌在我们心里。（罗马书5:5）

and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”  (Romans 5:5)

生命愈近日落西山，我们对来生的期待和盼望愈大，尤其当牡蛎微开，我们窥见完全浸润在爱之中那珍珠的光芒时。

The closer we come to the end of this earthly life, the greater is our anticipation and hope for the next life, especially as we catch the glimmer of pearls as the oyster cracks a smile to reveal that the pearl was bathed in love all along.

所以我们不丧胆。外体虽然毁坏﹐内心却一天新似一天。我们这至暂至轻的苦楚﹐要为我们成就极重无比永远的荣耀。原来我们不是顾念所见的﹐乃是顾念所不见的。因为所见的是暂时的﹐所不见的是永远的。（哥林多后书4:16-18)

“Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.  For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”  (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)
