读约翰福音5:1-18

c.  信的人如何脱离死亡进入永生？请看彼得前书2:24 和加拉太书3:13。

 

7.  根据耶稣所说，有一天所有死了的人都会如何？最后的审判显示神和祂的世界是怎么样的？若没有最后审判，显示的是什么？

 

8.  对于祂所说的是真实的，耶稣给了哪四个证据（见证）？

结论:

 对于耶稣和祂所行的神迹总有两种极端的反应：相信以致献身，或不信而拒绝。 

相信是认识之前就委身，相信不必看到事实。经上说“人非有信，就不能得神的喜悦；因为到神面前来的人，必须信有神，且信祂赏赐那寻求祂的人。”（希伯来书11:6) 由于怜悯，神让我们以信心来接近祂，因为我们自己没有能力认识祂。然而信心使我们谦卑地认识到我们知道得不够，却能信靠 神向我们启示的。 

你们得救是本乎恩；也因着信，这并不是出于自己，乃是神所赐的；也不是出于行为，免得有人自夸。（以弗所书 2:8-9)

 

Lesson #8

IBS#8 – Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life

 Read John 5:1-18

1.  Where is this taking place?

 

2.  Who is present?

 

3.  What is the problem?  How does Jesus heal him?  What is the significance of being asked to pick up his pallet?  Why does Jesus go to find him again?  What does this reveal about Jesus?

 

4.  What are the responses to this healing? What does this show about each?

Read John 5:19-47

 

5.  What does Jesus reveal is His relationship with the Heavenly Father?  What does the Father allow the Son to do?

 

6.  According to verse 24 how does a person gain Eternal Life?

 

a.  What is Eternal Life? Do the following verses refer to quantity or quality of existence?  John 3:15, 16, 36; 5:24; 6:27, 40, 47; 10:28; 12:50; 17:3; 1 Jn 5:11, 13, 20.  From these verses what do you think eternal life is?

 

b.  Why does the believer not come into judgment? See John 3:18 &36

 

c.  How does the believer pass out of death into life?  See 1 Pt 2:24 and Gal 3:13

 

7.  According to Jesus, what will happen one day to all the dead?  What does a Final Judgment reveal about God and His universe?  What would having no Final Judgment reveal?

 

8.  What four proofs (testimonies) does Jesus give that what He says is true?

 
9.  What kind of proof do you need before you can believe in Jesus? 

 

Summary:

 There were always two extreme reactions to Jesus and His miracles:  belief and devotion, or disbelief and rejection. 

 Faith is commitment before knowing. Faith is not necessary if it is a fact.  Yet Scripture says that “without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” (Heb 11:6)  It is merciful for God to allow us to approach Him on the basis of faith because of our own inability to know Him.  But faith humbly recognizes that we don’t know enough, but trusts in what God has revealed to us. 

 

 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.  (Eph 2:8-9)
