Summary:
We come to God on the basis of our needs, and He meets us there. The need for more wine is a temporal problem, while our separation from God because of our sin is an eternal problem. Jesus didn’t come just to turn water into wine, but to turn those who are dead in sin into those who are eternally alive in God. Yet He cares about our temporal needs too.
